What the puff count on a disposable means
The number of puffs advertised on a disposable vape is a manufacturer's estimate made in a lab, with short, regular puffs. In real use it usually falls short, so it is mainly useful for comparing models with each other, not as an exact promise. What does not change between models is the e-liquid: under EU rules, in Spain a disposable cannot exceed 2 ml or 20 mg/ml of nicotine.
That is why high-puff models are rechargeable via USB-C: the battery can be recharged even though the tank cannot be refilled. They are grouped into three ranges: up to 800 puffs, 800 to 3,500 and more than 3,500. The full range is in disposable vapes.
Frequently asked questions
How many puffs do I need a day?
It depends on each person's use: we break it down in how many vape puffs equal a cigarette.
Why does it run out sooner than the box says?
Because the figures come from the lab. Long puffs, high power and high temperatures use more e-liquid per puff.
Is a high-puff model worth it?
It is better value per euro, but if you vape every day the truly economical option is a refillable pod kit.
