Your shisha starts here. This page brings together everything we sell to set up and enjoy a shisha: the pipe itself, the base, the bowl, the charcoal and the accessories that make the difference. You can browse by size if you already know whether you want a portable one or one for the living room, or by price if you have a fixed budget. We work with brands we use and test: Alpha Hookah, DMNT, El Bomber, Mexanica Smoke, Regal Hookah, Japona, Amotion and Illicit. If this is your first shisha, start with our guide on how to set up a shisha and with the bundles, which come with everything you need for your first session. If you already know your way around, the bowls, heat management devices and bases are where the fine detail is.
We deliver within Spain only: free on orders over €30 to mainland Spain (€3.95 below that) and €6.50 to the Balearic Islands. You have 30 days to return your order. Over-18s only.
How to choose your shisha
Height determines the type of draw and where you will use it. Mini and portable shisha pipes, from 25 to 40 cm, are easy to carry and store; medium and large ones, from 50 cm upwards, give a smoother draw because the smoke column is longer. If you are moving on from a beginner's shisha and want a step up in quality, look at the material: stainless steel and anodised aluminium do not rust and are easy to clean, unlike cheap chrome-plated parts.
The second criterion is budget. In shisha pipes by price they are sorted into three ranges: under €100, €100 to €250, and premium from €250. And if you would rather not buy piece by piece, our shisha bundles already come with a hose, bowl and tongs.
What you need besides the shisha pipe
A shisha works with four items that are bought separately and replaced over time: the bowl, the heat management device or foil, coconut charcoal in the size your heat management device requires (26, 27 or 28 mm) and tongs. On top of that come the maintenance consumables: grommets, seals, purge valves and brushes. You will find all of these in shisha accessories.
Frequently asked questions
Which shisha should I buy as my first?
A medium one of 40–60 cm with a wide base: it is stable, easy to clean and forgiving of charcoal mistakes. Starter bundles include a hose, bowl, tongs and foil.
What is the difference between a cachimba and a shisha?
None: they are the same water pipe. “Shisha” is the Arabic term and “narghile” the Persian one; in Spain, “cachimba” has become the usual word.
How long does a shisha pipe last?
A stainless steel or brass body lasts for years. What gets replaced with use are the grommets, the hose and the bowl.
What is the difference between a phunnel bowl and a traditional bowl?
A phunnel bowl has a single raised central hole, so nothing drips into the water and it lasts longer. A traditional bowl has several holes in the bottom, heats up faster and is cheaper.
Which charcoal do I need and how many pieces should I use?
Natural coconut charcoal, which adds no smell or taste. Two or three pieces is normal depending on the size of the bowl, fully lit on a coal burner before you put them on top. The size (26, 27 or 28 mm) depends on the heat management device you use.
How often should I clean my shisha?
After each use, it is best to empty and rinse the base and the stem, and once a week give it a thorough clean with a brush. This is what extends the life of your shisha the most and keeps the flavour clean. You will find brushes and cleaners in cleaning and maintenance.
Can I return it if it is not what I expected?
You have 30 days to return your order. If you are unsure whether parts are compatible, email us at info@bakkalistore.es before buying and we will tell you what fits your model.
