Coconut Shisha Charcoal

Natural pressed coconut with no lighting additives. It lights evenly, adds no flavour and leaves little ash. Choose the size to suit your bowl.

Sizes, formats and how far it goes

Coconut charcoal comes in pressed cubes of 26, 27 or 28 mm, and the size is set by your heat management device or the space on your bowl, not by personal taste. A kilo holds between 60 and 70 cubes depending on the size, which is plenty of sessions: at two or three cubes per session, a kilo lasts well over a month with normal use.

Look at the density and the ash: good coconut charcoal takes a while to light, lasts more than an hour and leaves little white ash. If you smoke often, the price per kilo drops with charcoal bulk packs. To light it properly you'll need a coal burner.

Frequently asked questions

Which size should I buy: 26, 27 or 28 mm?

Whatever your heat management device takes. 26 mm is the most widespread size; 27 and 28 mm are used in wider HMDs and large bowls.

How long does one cube last?

Between 60 and 90 minutes if it's fully lit and the HMD is closed.

How should I store it?

Closed and in a dry place: charcoal absorbs moisture, which makes it harder to light. Coal baskets are in tongs, foil pokers and coal baskets.
