Three clear price ranges so you don't waste time: budget if you want to get started without spending much, value for money if you want the most for every euro, and premium if you are after finish, materials and brand. In each range we show exactly what you are paying for: body material, type of purge valve, finish and included accessories.
What changes from one range to the next
The price of a shisha pipe comes down almost entirely to three things: the body material, how well the parts seal together and the finish. Under €100 you will find decent models to get started, usually in steel with simple finishes. Between €100 and €250 is the bulk of the market: stainless steel or anodised aluminium, a smooth purge valve and parts that come apart easily for cleaning. From €250 upwards you get into branded manufacturing, fine tolerances and finishes that last for years.
The three ranges are kept separate so you can compare without distractions: budget under €100, value for money from €100 to €250 and premium from €250. If you would rather choose by size than by budget, see mini and portable and medium and large.
Frequently asked questions
How much does a good shisha pipe cost?
Between €60 and €120 you can get stainless steel shisha pipes with a purge valve and a good draw. Below €40, the materials and the seal drop in quality.
What will I spend after buying it?
The real consumable is charcoal and, from time to time, grommets and a hose. Charcoal bulk packs work out cheaper per kilo than individual boxes.
Which should I choose if I am torn between two ranges?
If you will use it every week, it is worth going up a range, because how well the seals close and how easy it is to clean are what you notice most with use. For occasional use, the budget range does the job.
